The United States' .us country code top-level domain is the official national internet identifier for America, though it has historically been overshadowed in popularity by the globally recognized .com extension. Administered by Registry Services LLC under a cooperative agreement with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), .us is structured around a geographic hierarchy but also offers direct second-level registrations.
