An operating system is a strange thing to detect from the outside. Nothing in a normal web response is obliged to name it, and the usual evidence is a distribution token appended to a server banner, which plenty of administrators disable on principle and which a reverse proxy rewrites without asking. The count on this page is therefore a floor rather than a measurement, and a biased floor, because it over represents default installations and under represents hardened, proxied and load balanced estates.
