Fork Awesome is a community-maintained fork of the original Font Awesome 4.x icon library, created to continue development after Font Awesome shifted its focus to a commercial model. It extends the original set with additional icons, particularly for open-source projects, decentralized technologies, and niche use cases not covered by the main library.

Fork Awesome is used by open-source projects, non-profits, and developers who need icons not available in the free tier of Font Awesome, or who prefer a community-governed alternative. The icon set includes icons for ActivityPub, Mastodon, and various libre software tools. It is distributed as a web font and SVG set and is freely available under an open license.
