About MobX
MobX is a popular open-source state management library for JavaScript applications, particularly used with React. Created by Michel Weststrate and maintained by the MobX community, it uses transparent reactive programming principles to automatically track state dependencies and update the UI when state changes.
MobX follows an object-oriented approach to state management, which many developers find more intuitive than the functional patterns of Redux. It requires minimal boilerplate and scales well from small to large applications. MobX is widely used across enterprise React applications and supports TypeScript natively, with a companion library MobX-State-Tree providing additional structure for complex state trees.
