About Four

Buy now, pay later brands compete for a slot that only appears at the very end of a purchase, which makes them awkward to measure from outside. The messaging script advertising installments may sit on product pages, but the part that matters commercially lives inside a checkout that no crawler is going to complete.

Four is sold by Four under a Proprietary license and splits a purchase into interest-free installments, taking on the credit assessment and the collection so that the merchant does not have to. A retailer adds it for a narrow reason: conversion on higher-value baskets, and a larger average order from shoppers who would otherwise walk away. The presence of the fingerprint therefore says something about the basket sizes a store expects, not only about which payment vendor it signed with.

The brand name is a plain English word, and that is worth stating before any figure is quoted. A fingerprint keyed on a short common word carries more collision risk than one keyed on an invented brand, and what we publish counts fingerprint matches rather than confirmed merchant accounts.
