Dan.com served branded for sale landing pages on parked and undeveloped names, so a detection does not describe a business with a web presence. A detection describes inventory, a registered name whose owner is a seller waiting for an offer.

Inverting the usual reading is the point. For lead generation, sales prospecting, or any analysis of the commercial web, these domains are noise and the right move is to exclude them in bulk, which is something you can only do if you can enumerate them. For domain investors, brand protection teams, and acquisition researchers the same rows are the entire target list, since a parked page is a public statement that a name is available to buy. Nobody can visit hundreds of thousands.
