About Bronto
Bronto is a cloud-based email marketing and marketing automation platform that was primarily targeted at mid-market and enterprise e-commerce retailers. It offered tools for email campaign management, segmentation, behavioral triggers, SMS marketing, and abandoned cart recovery to drive online sales.
Founded in 2002 in Durham, North Carolina, Bronto was acquired by NetSuite in 2015 and subsequently came under Oracle's ownership following its acquisition of NetSuite in 2016. Oracle announced the end-of-life of the Bronto platform in 2022, after which the service was discontinued. During its peak, Bronto served thousands of e-commerce brands who valued its deep Magento and Shopify integrations. Many former Bronto customers migrated to platforms such as Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Dotdigital following the shutdown.
