About Bronto

The vendor column on this record does not say Bronto. It says Oracle, which is what a record looks like after a product has been bought, folded into a larger suite and kept on the acquirer's books. Detection data preserves that history in a way vendor websites do not, because the fingerprint left in a page keeps pointing at the original product long after the brand has been retired from every price list.

Email platforms are detectable for a mechanical reason. A newsletter signup form has to post somewhere, tracking images have to load from somewhere, and both leave a vendor-owned host sitting in the markup. As of October 2026 we match Bronto on 3 sites. A figure that small, for a Email product dating back to 2002, is the signature of a platform deep in its long tail rather than one in a growth phase.

Reading such a match takes care. A form that still posts to a retired endpoint tells you the page has not been touched, not that campaigns are still going out through it. Retailers change sending platform far more often than they rewrite the footer of a template, so Email fingerprints skew towards the stack a site had when its theme was last rebuilt.
