About CIVIC
A shared name is a detection problem before it is anything else. CIVIC sits in our Cookie compliance bucket, and the label has been attached to more than one product line on the public web, so the signature that puts a domain in this bucket is a script pattern rather than a signed contract. Anyone working from the list should treat it as a candidate set to confirm rather than a customer roster.
The website recorded against this entry points at a consent tool rather than an identity service, and the consent tool is what our fingerprint follows. The product holds cookies back until a visitor gives explicit permission, presents the categories a site wants to set, stores the answer and replays it on later visits, which is the mechanism the European, Brazilian and Californian privacy rules ask for.
