RDAP is not considered authoritative for registered domain objects. The RDAP service may be scheduled for downtime during production or OT&E maintenance periods. Queries to the RDAP services are throttled. If too many queries are received from a single IP address within a specified time, the service will begin to reject further queries for a period of time to prevent disruption of RDAP service access. About Babylon.js
Browser based graphics work is one of the hardest categories on the web to observe from the outside. A page rendering a product configurator or a virtual showroom looks, to a crawler, like a canvas element and a wall of compiled JavaScript. The engine underneath announces itself only when it loads from a recognizable file path or leaves a named global object behind, and modern build tooling exists in part to erase clues of exactly that kind.
Babylon.js is the engine in question. Written in TypeScript, published by Microsoft under the Apache 2.0 license, and present in our records since 2013, it drives real time rendering in the browser through the graphics APIs the platform exposes, without plugins. A site that loads it has committed to interactive visual work that is expensive to build and expensive to maintain, which narrows the population sharply. Configurators for physical products, training and simulation, architectural and industrial visualization, and immersive marketing all show up here. Casual websites do not.
Detection carries a caveat that has to be stated plainly rather than buried. As of October 2026 we detect Babylon.js on 1 site, and the true deployed base is certainly larger. When a build pipeline bundles and minifies the engine into an application chunk, the fingerprint disappears along with the file name, and what remains is indistinguishable from any other compiled bundle. Our figure counts the deployments that stayed identifiable, typically a copy served from a public distribution network or an unbundled script include. Treat the number as a floor with a known cause, not as a measure of adoption.
The licensing shapes what else is knowable. An Apache 2.0 release means nobody is invoiced for using the engine, so no vendor account list exists for anyone to consult, not even inside the company that publishes it. Crawling public pages is the only census available for a technology given away freely, which is a limitation and also the reason the exercise has value. Nothing else produces a comparable view.
Researchers who care tend to sit adjacent rather than inside. Vendors selling asset pipelines, hosting for large binary assets, or commerce plugins want the sites already doing this work. Agencies pitching configurator projects want to know which competitors in a client's sector have shipped one. Recruiters and analysts tracking the shift of graphics work into the browser want an observable trend line rather than survey answers.
A per domain lookup answers whether a single site loads the engine. The export answers which sites do, what commerce platform or content system sits behind them, and which sectors are absorbing browser rendering fastest, which is the question a lookup tool cannot reach no matter how many domains you feed it one at a time.
Frequently asked questions
How many websites use Babylon.js?
webatla detects Babylon.js on 1 website, refreshed daily, with its domain, DNS, WHOIS, IP, country and ranking.
Can I download the list of websites using Babylon.js?
Yes, as structured JSONL. Grab a free sample first.
What's included for each site, and how fresh is it?
Domain, DNS, RDAP/WHOIS, the full technology stack, IP & country, PageRank and Harmonic, re-detected and re-exported daily.
How do I find the websites using Babylon.js?
Buy the technology dataset, then download the complete list of domains we detect using Babylon.js, re-exported every day.
What else is in the Babylon.js technology data?
Each row places Babylon.js next to the other technology on the same site, plus DNS, WHOIS, IP, country and ranking.
Can I download just the sites using Babylon.js, or the whole database?
Both. Every site running Babylon.js comes in the Technologies dataset, one downloadable file. Or buy All data for the entire database: technologies plus identity, ranking, DNS and RDAP/WHOIS for every domain, combined in one file. Daily fresh export.
How do I download the list of websites using Babylon.js?
Three steps: (1) grab the free 10,000-row sample to inspect the schema, (2) buy the Technologies dataset, (3) download the full list of every domain we detect running Babylon.js as a JSON Lines file. It is re-exported daily, so you can re-download the freshest list any time inside your access window. Each row carries the domain plus DNS, WHOIS, IP, hosting country and rank.
