About MyBB

Standalone discussion forums belong to an earlier shape of the web, before communities consolidated onto social platforms and messaging groups. Released in 2002 and maintained since by MyBB Group, it is a self-hosted bulletin board written in PHP that a community installs on its own hosting and runs itself.
