Mollom was a web service developed by Dries Buytaert (creator of Drupal) and Benjamin Schrauwen that provided content moderation and spam filtering for websites, particularly Drupal-based sites. It used machine learning and crowdsourced data to analyze user-submitted content — comments, contact form submissions, and registrations — and distinguish legitimate submissions from spam.

Mollom operated as a cloud-based API service and was notable for its high accuracy and its integration with the Drupal community. At its peak, it protected thousands of websites from comment spam and malicious registrations. Mollom was acquired by Acquia in 2012 and subsequently shut down in April 2018, with users recommended to migrate to alternative solutions such as Akismet or reCAPTCHA.
