An email platform lives in an inbox rather than on a web page, so any detection has to work with whatever the platform leaves behind on the public site. In practice that means a signup form, an embedded subscribe widget or the tracking snippet supporting them. Sites in the list skew toward blogs, courses, newsletters, small shops and consultancies, the kind of business where one person owns the mailing list and the website at the same time.

The licence is recorded as Freemium, which sets the usual ceiling on inference. A form on a page proves the tool is installed, not that anyone is paying for it, and a generous free tier means a real share of any population like this one produces no revenue at all. No version data exists either, as is normal for a hosted service where the vendor upgrades everybody at once, so version-based questions simply do not apply here.

Competing email platforms use lists like this to find switch candidates, and switching is unusually common in email marketing because the cost of moving is mostly a list export and an afternoon. Beyond displacement, the population works as a marketing maturity filter. A site running any email capture is a site with a funnel, which qualifies a prospect for analytics, CRM, landing page and automation software better than industry or headcount does. Qualification of that kind only exists for somebody holding the whole set, since checking domains one at a time answers a different question.
