About LiveRamp DPM
Identity resolution decides whether the person opening a page is already known to the advertiser, and it does its work in places a crawler can barely see. LiveRamp DPM is our label for one component of that machinery, filed under Advertising and attributed to LiveRamp Holdings. One caveat belongs at the top: the reference link on file points at a product page whose name does not match the label, and the acronym has been expanded more than one way in public write-ups, so the entry is best read as a fingerprint for a specific tag rather than as a settled product identity.
What the tag implies about a site is firmer than what it implies about a product line. Bringing first party customer records into advertising platforms is not a small site's activity, because it needs a customer database worth matching, a legal position on sharing it and a media budget large enough to justify the plumbing. A page carrying identity infrastructure of this kind therefore signals scale, which usually means an in house or agency ad operations function, a measurement programme and procurement that has already been through a privacy review.
The product is Proprietary and the entry dates from 2012, placing it in the stretch when data onboarding turned from a service into a platform. Regulation and browser policy have been reshaping that market since, and consent frameworks, restrictions on third party identifiers and the move to server side tagging have all changed how these components reach a page. The same vendor can be present on a site in a form that no client side crawl will ever observe.
As of July 2026 we record LiveRamp DPM on 1 sites, and the honest reading of that number is a detection floor. Advertising and identity tags are routinely fired through a tag manager, proxied under a first party subdomain, or moved behind the site's own servers precisely to survive tracker blocking, and each of those removes the recognisable request from the page a crawler downloads. Any adtech figure derived from public page markup should be treated as a lower bound rather than a share.
Competing data vendors, agencies auditing where a client's identity plumbing already sits, and privacy researchers tracking which categories of site carry this infrastructure are the audience for the entry. A per-domain check answers a narrow question about one host. The export answers which domains across the crawl carry the tag, what else runs beside it and where those domains are registered, and that combination is what turns an isolated fingerprint into a map of a market.
