Mailman est un logiciel libre et open source destiné à la gestion des listes de diffusion électroniques. Développé par le projet GNU, il permet aux organisations de créer, d’administrer et de faire fonctionner facilement des listes de discussion par email et des newsletters. Mailman gère l’administration des abonnés, le traitement des rejets (bounces), l’archivage et le filtrage antispam.

Largement utilisé par les universités, les projets open source et les associations, Mailman est un outil fondateur des communautés internet depuis la fin des années 1990. Il s’intègre avec des agents de transfert de courrier standards comme Postfix et Sendmail, et propose à la fois une interface d’administration web et des outils de gestion en ligne de commande. Sa dernière version majeure, Mailman 3, a introduit une architecture modulaire avec prise en charge d’une API REST.
