Tout ce qu’un robot trouve dans une page ne relève pas de l’ingénierie. eNamad est un morceau de réglementation rendu sous forme de balisage. Le sceau est délivré par Ministry of ICT Iran et certifie que l’entreprise derrière une boutique en ligne est légalement enregistrée et opère dans le cadre des règles iraniennes du commerce en ligne, ce qui le rapproche davantage d’une plaque d’immatriculation que d’un logiciel.
La conséquence pratique est qu’afficher le sceau n’est pas vraiment facultatif. Les passerelles de paiement iraniennes exigent couramment la certification avant de traiter les transactions d’un marchand, et les acheteurs ont appris à chercher le sceau avant de saisir leurs coordonnées bancaires, si bien qu’il marque le moment où un site web cesse d’être un catalogue et devient une entreprise capable d’encaisser. Le détecter dit plus de choses que de détecter un panier d’achat, parce qu’un panier prouve qu’un logiciel a été installé tandis que le sceau prouve qu’un dossier a été déposé et accepté par un régulateur.

Le sceau est la clé d’entrée du segment, et les technologies trouvées à côté de lui sur les mêmes domaines sont ce qui rend le segment lisible.
Les limites méritent d’être dites. Nous détectons le sceau intégré dans une page et nous ne validons pas le certificat auprès du registre qui le délivre, de sorte qu’une boutique dont le statut a expiré ou a été suspendu peut encore porter l’image. Les boutiques qui servent l’image du sceau depuis leurs propres serveurs au lieu d’appeler l’intégration standard sont plus difficiles à voir, et certaines d’entre elles manqueront au décompte. Le dispositif relève d’un régime sous licence Proprietary contrôlé entièrement par le ministère émetteur, si bien qu’il n’y a pas de feuille de route technologique publique à suivre, seulement le registre lui-même et l’empreinte qu’il laisse sur un web national.
