About the China web market
China has the world's largest internet user base, with over one billion internet users and a digital economy that rivals the United States. The country hosts globally dominant technology companies including Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, Huawei, and ByteDance, which have built comprehensive ecosystems spanning e-commerce, social media, payments, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. The .cn ccTLD is administered by the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), one of the world's largest ccTLD registries by volume. China also operates a Chinese-script ccTLD (.中国), extending digital access to non-Latin-script users.
