Nobody browses a supply side platform. Publishers install it, readers never notice it, and the result is a layer of the web that a crawler can see and a visitor cannot. Yieldlab is supply side technology, which means the customer is the publisher whose pages carry the tag while the money runs from advertisers through the platform back to that publisher. Dating from 2008 and now owned by Virtual Minds AG, the Advertising product runs the auction that decides which creative fills a slot while a page loads.

Regional reach matters for a supply side platform in a way it never does for a JavaScript library, because inventory is sold against local audiences and the demand partners plugged into a given platform tend to be local too. Yieldlab's own site sits on a German domain, and a publisher choosing it is generally buying access to European demand rather than to a global exchange.
