About Pepperjam
Affiliate marketing is measured by tracking that everyone involved wants to keep out of sight. Pepperjam is one of the networks doing that measuring, a Affiliate programs platform sitting between advertisers who pay for outcomes and publishers who send them traffic. Our record files it under Partnerize, the group that owns it, and dates our earliest association with the platform to 2000, which makes it old enough to predate the consent frameworks and browser restrictions it now has to work around.
The presence of an affiliate network tag is a commercial signal rather than a technical one. On a merchant's site it means a partner programme exists, that somebody is being paid per sale or per lead, and that a team is either running that programme or has left it running. What does appear is a conversion tag on an order confirmation page, and order confirmation pages sit behind a checkout nobody completes on our behalf.
