O Octopress é uma framework de blogging construída sobre o Jekyll, o gerador de sites estáticos, concebida para facilitar a criação e a implementação de blogues a partir da linha de comandos. Criado originalmente por Brandon Mathis por volta de 2009, o Octopress acrescenta uma camada de convenções, temas e ferramentas de implementação sobre o Jekyll, dirigindo-se a programadores e redatores técnicos que preferem escrever em Markdown.

O Octopress gera ficheiros HTML estáticos que podem ser alojados no GitHub Pages, no Amazon S3 ou em qualquer servidor web, resultando em sites rápidos e seguros, sem dependência de bases de dados. Embora o projeto já não seja mantido ativamente e o próprio Jekyll tenha evoluído consideravelmente, o Octopress desempenhou um papel histórico importante na popularização do blogging em sites estáticos junto da comunidade de programadores.
