O Backdrop CMS é um sistema de gestão de conteúdos gratuito e de código aberto, derivado do Drupal 7 em 2013, com o objetivo de fornecer um CMS mais simples e acessível para organizações pequenas a médias que consideravam a maior complexidade do Drupal 8 uma barreira.
