Backdrop CMS è un sistema di gestione dei contenuti gratuito e open source, derivato (fork) da Drupal 7 nel 2013 con l’obiettivo di offrire un CMS più semplice e accessibile per le organizzazioni di piccole e medie dimensioni che trovavano la maggiore complessità di Drupal 8 un ostacolo.
