CKEditor est un éditeur de texte enrichi WYSIWYG fonctionnant dans le navigateur, conçu pour le web. Il a été publié pour la première fois en 2003 sous le nom de FCKeditor, créé par Frederico Caldeira Knabben, puis développé par l’entreprise polonaise CKSource, qui l’a rebaptisé CKEditor à partir de la version 3 en 2009. L’éditeur permet aux utilisateurs de mettre en forme et de modifier du contenu directement dans les pages web et les applications en ligne, et il est couramment intégré dans les systèmes de gestion de contenu, les forums et les formulaires en ligne. Il est proposé sous double licence, une licence open source GPL et une licence commerciale, et sa version majeure actuelle, CKEditor 5, est construite comme un framework JavaScript modulaire.
