Über Posterous
Seit Jahren hat niemand mehr einen neuen Beitrag über Posterous veröffentlicht, was eine aktuelle Erkennungszahl zu einer merkwürdigen Größe macht. Die Plattform war um einen einzigen Kniff herum gebaut, nämlich einen Blogeintrag per E-Mail zu veröffentlichen, und wurde von Twitter übernommen, bevor sie eingestellt wurde. Was wir heute erfassen, sind Überreste und keine Nutzung: exportierte Archive, die das ursprüngliche Markup behalten haben, Generator-Tags in kopierten Themes, gespiegelte Seiten und geparkte Domains, die noch die letzte Version einer Website ausliefern, die irgendwann niemand mehr gepflegt hat.
Stand Oktober 2026 sehen wir diese Überreste auf 13 Websites. Die Zahl misst kein Produkt im Einsatz, und sie so darzustellen, wäre unredlich.
