About WebHostUK
Hosting entries behave differently from everything else in a technology dataset. A site owner picks a content system, an analytics tag or a payment button. Hosting is picked once, usually by whoever built the site, and then inherited for years by people who never think about it again. WebHostUK appears in the Hosting category for that reason. The sites carrying it did not install anything, they were placed.
What identifies a host is infrastructure rather than page content: nameservers, control panel endpoints, default landing pages, mail records and the address ranges a domain resolves into. As of October 2026 we associate 581 sites with the provider. The figure describes domains we could attribute with confidence, and attribution of small and mid-sized hosts is conservative by nature, because a customer on a white-labelled reseller plan or sitting behind a proxy service can look like almost anything from outside.

Shared plans, virtual servers and control panel hosting are bought by small businesses, freelancers, local agencies and the client sites those agencies build, so the domain list reads as a regional business directory as much as a technical inventory. Every entry is a company paying a recurring invoice to one supplier. Hosting lists are therefore the raw material for competitive campaigns, for reseller recruitment, and for the kind of switching offer that lands shortly before a renewal date.
