About Raptor
Version numbers rarely survive the trip into a third party tag. Vendors serve the current build from their own infrastructure, customers never name it, and the version column in a technology index stays empty as a result. For Raptor the crawl reads 2.1.3 straight out of the page, the same build wherever we matched it, which means the tag carries its version in the open.
A build number that visible is a small gift to anyone studying a vendor. Deployments can be dated relative to each other, stale installs can be separated from fresh ones, and a support team can tell at a glance whether a prospect is running something the vendor stopped shipping. None of that is available from a check that only answers yes or no.
The product behind the tag is filed as Personalisation, sold by Raptor Services under a Proprietary license and delivered in JavaScript. Software in that class earns its place by acting on visitor behaviour, which means a site running it usually has a catalogue or a content library large enough that ordering the items automatically beats ordering them by hand. Presence therefore works as a rough size filter as well as a vendor signal. Brochure sites do not buy personalization, and a matched domain is one where somebody has enough inventory and enough traffic for recommendations to pay for themselves.
A caution belongs here. The name is an ordinary English word and short product names collide often, so a fingerprint match on a name like this deserves a check before anyone builds a customer list on top of it. Our record points at Raptor Services and the product published at raptorsmartadvisor.com, and the detection itself is a pattern match in page markup rather than a confirmed commercial relationship.
As of October 2026 we detect Raptor on 1 site. Marketing and personalization tags are also routinely injected through a tag manager, which hides the vendor behind a generic container script and puts real deployments out of reach of any crawler, so the count is confirmed sightings and not a market measure.
The downloadable dataset answers a question that per-domain checking cannot. A lookup starts from a domain you already have. The list starts from the technology and hands back every domain we matched, along with the other components on those domains, their countries and their domain endings, which is what turns a vendor row into a picture of who buys this kind of tooling and what else they run.
Frequently asked questions
How many websites use Raptor?
webatla detects Raptor on 1 website, refreshed daily, with its domain, DNS, WHOIS, IP, country and ranking.
Can I download the list of websites using Raptor?
Yes, as structured JSONL. Grab a free sample first.
What's included for each site, and how fresh is it?
Domain, DNS, RDAP/WHOIS, the full technology stack, IP & country, PageRank and Harmonic, re-detected and re-exported daily.
How do I find the websites using Raptor?
Buy the technology dataset, then download the complete list of domains we detect using Raptor, re-exported every day.
What else is in the Raptor technology data?
Each row places Raptor next to the other technology on the same site, plus DNS, WHOIS, IP, country and ranking.
Can I download just the sites using Raptor, or the whole database?
Both. Every site running Raptor comes in the Technologies dataset, one downloadable file. Or buy All data for the entire database: technologies plus identity, ranking, DNS and RDAP/WHOIS for every domain, combined in one file. Daily fresh export.
How do I download the list of websites using Raptor?
Three steps: (1) grab the free 10,000-row sample to inspect the schema, (2) buy the Technologies dataset, (3) download the full list of every domain we detect running Raptor as a JSON Lines file. It is re-exported daily, so you can re-download the freshest list any time inside your access window. Each row carries the domain plus DNS, WHOIS, IP, hosting country and rank.
