About ApexPages
Finding a customer relationship platform rendering a public web page is a small surprise, and the surprise is the useful part. ApexPages belongs to the older markup and page controller layer of a business platform, the part that let developers build custom screens from proprietary markup backed by server side code. Screens like that were built overwhelmingly for staff who were already logged in. A minority of them were pointed at the open internet instead, and the outward facing minority is the only part a crawler can ever see.
Our record attributes the technology to Salesforce, dates the fingerprint to 2008, marks the runtime as Java and the licensing as Proprietary. We file it under Web frameworks, and as of October 2026 we detect it on 1 site.
The number needs to be understood for what it is not. The bulk of the platform's use sits behind authentication, invisible to any crawl, so the figure is in no sense a measure of how many companies run the platform. What gets counted is the narrow slice where an organisation chose to expose platform rendered pages to anonymous visitors: a partner portal, a public form, a support or community page, a customer facing microsite bolted onto internal data.
That narrowness makes each hit dense rather than weak. A public page from this stack implies an enterprise customer paying enterprise license fees, an in house or contracted development team that wrote custom markup rather than configuring a standard product, and an older interface framework still sitting in the delivery path years after the vendor introduced a newer component model. For a consultancy selling migration work, or for a vendor selling anything that plugs into the same platform, a combination like that arrives with the qualification already done.
An exported list also measures something a lookup cannot reach, which is decline. Legacy frameworks leave the public web slowly, one project at a time, and the only way to see the slope is to compare the same detection across successive exports. A domain that drops out has migrated to something newer, which is both a milestone on the platform's own roadmap and a signal for anyone selling into that migration. Sorted by top level domain, the set shows which national markets still expose these pages. Joined against other detections, the set shows what else those organisations run alongside. A single domain check answers one narrow question, while the whole set answers who is still there, in what shape, and for how much longer.
Frequently asked questions
How many websites use ApexPages?
webatla detects ApexPages on 1 website, refreshed daily, with its domain, DNS, WHOIS, IP, country and ranking.
Can I download the list of websites using ApexPages?
Yes, as structured JSONL. Grab a free sample first.
What's included for each site, and how fresh is it?
Domain, DNS, RDAP/WHOIS, the full technology stack, IP & country, PageRank and Harmonic, re-detected and re-exported daily.
How do I find the websites using ApexPages?
Buy the technology dataset, then download the complete list of domains we detect using ApexPages, re-exported every day.
What else is in the ApexPages technology data?
Each row places ApexPages next to the other technology on the same site, plus DNS, WHOIS, IP, country and ranking.
Can I download just the sites using ApexPages, or the whole database?
Both. Every site running ApexPages comes in the Technologies dataset, one downloadable file. Or buy All data for the entire database: technologies plus identity, ranking, DNS and RDAP/WHOIS for every domain, combined in one file. Daily fresh export.
How do I download the list of websites using ApexPages?
Three steps: (1) grab the free 10,000-row sample to inspect the schema, (2) buy the Technologies dataset, (3) download the full list of every domain we detect running ApexPages as a JSON Lines file. It is re-exported daily, so you can re-download the freshest list any time inside your access window. Each row carries the domain plus DNS, WHOIS, IP, hosting country and rank.
