O Let's Encrypt é uma autoridade de certificação (CA) gratuita, automatizada e aberta que fornece certificados TLS/SSL para sites de forma a permitir HTTPS. Lançado em 2016 pelo Internet Security Research Group (ISRG) e apoiado por grandes patrocinadores, incluindo a Mozilla, a Electronic Frontier Foundation e a Cisco, baixou drasticamente a barreira à adoção de tráfego web encriptado.

O Let's Encrypt utiliza o protocolo ACME para automatizar a emissão e renovação de certificados, permitindo a administradores de servidores e fornecedores de alojamento obter e renovar certificados sem intervenção manual. Já emitiu certificados para centenas de milhões de sites, tornando-se a maior autoridade de certificação do mundo em número de certificados. O serviço é fornecido de forma totalmente gratuita como benefício público.
