About Rust
Rust is a systems programming language focused on three goals: safety, speed, and concurrency. Developed initially at Mozilla Research and later stewarded by the Rust Foundation, Rust achieves memory safety without a garbage collector through its ownership and borrowing system. It competes directly with C and C++ in performance-critical domains while eliminating entire classes of bugs like null pointer dereferences and data races at compile time.
