About Mynetcap

Recognition and documentation are two different things, and Mynetcap is a clean example of the gap between them. Fingerprinting tools carry a signature for the platform, which means somebody once looked at a live site, found a repeatable tell in the markup or the response headers, and wrote a rule for it. Nobody, as far as our record goes, attached a vendor, a licence, a first release year or an implementation language to that rule.

A CMS match still carries meaning even when the product behind it is obscure. A site built on a platform rather than by hand implies an administrative interface somewhere, a template layer, a database and an upgrade path that somebody is either keeping current or quietly ignoring. For a security researcher the upgrade path is the interesting part. For anyone selling hosting, migration work or a competing platform, the interesting part is that a platform decision was made at all, because platform decisions get revisited.

Obscurity works against the detection as well. A small, lightly documented platform is easy to hide by accident: strip a generator tag, put a cache or a reverse proxy in front of the origin, rename the admin path, and the signature stops firing while the software keeps running. Our figure is therefore a floor rather than a census. As of October 2026 the recorded footprint for Mynetcap stands at 1, and the honest reading of that figure is the count of live sites where the fingerprint matched, not the count of installations in the world.

Rare platforms are where a downloadable list beats a lookup service outright. Checking domains one at a time answers a question you can already phrase, which is what a given site runs. Enumerating an obscure CMS is the reverse problem, because the domains are the part you are missing and no amount of per-domain querying will produce them. Our export hands over the whole matched set in one file, with each domain, its country and its top level domain alongside, so an unfamiliar name becomes a population you can study, compare or approach instead of a string you have to hunt for.

Frequently asked questions

How many websites use Mynetcap?

webatla detects Mynetcap on 1 website, refreshed daily, with its domain, DNS, WHOIS, IP, country and ranking.

Can I download the list of websites using Mynetcap?

Yes, as structured JSONL. Grab a free sample first.

What's included for each site, and how fresh is it?

Domain, DNS, RDAP/WHOIS, the full technology stack, IP & country, PageRank and Harmonic, re-detected and re-exported daily.

How do I find the websites using Mynetcap?

Buy the technology dataset, then download the complete list of domains we detect using Mynetcap, re-exported every day.

What else is in the Mynetcap technology data?

Each row places Mynetcap next to the other technology on the same site, plus DNS, WHOIS, IP, country and ranking.

Can I download just the sites using Mynetcap, or the whole database?

Both. Every site running Mynetcap comes in the Technologies dataset, one downloadable file. Or buy All data for the entire database: technologies plus identity, ranking, DNS and RDAP/WHOIS for every domain, combined in one file. Daily fresh export.

How do I download the list of websites using Mynetcap?

Three steps: (1) grab the free 10,000-row sample to inspect the schema, (2) buy the Technologies dataset, (3) download the full list of every domain we detect running Mynetcap as a JSON Lines file. It is re-exported daily, so you can re-download the freshest list any time inside your access window. Each row carries the domain plus DNS, WHOIS, IP, hosting country and rank.
