About Kubernetes Dashboard
A cluster control panel has no business being reachable from the public internet, and yet the fingerprint for one keeps appearing in crawls. The dashboard is a browser front end for the machinery that runs containerized applications, able to read secrets, show logs, and create or delete workloads depending on how the service account behind it was configured. Finding it answering on a public address is a configuration finding first and a technology statistic second.
Kubernetes Dashboard is recorded here as Development tooling written in Go, released under Apache 2.0, from CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation), with 2015 as its first year. The category label is a loose fit, because a control surface that changes cluster state is a different thing from a system that collects metrics, and the label should be read as our taxonomy rather than as a description of the software. Open licensing matters more for research purposes. Nobody buys the dashboard, so there is no sales pipeline and no customer list anyone could request, and watching what live hosts serve is the only measurement available.
As of August 2026 the number of public hosts where we match the dashboard fingerprint is 1. Popularity is the wrong reading of a number of that kind. Installations normally sit inside clusters, reached through a proxy or a port forward and invisible to anything crawling the open web, so the population we can see is not a sample of users but a sample of exposures. A count that rises does not mean the project gained users. A count that rises means more clusters became reachable, which is a different and more urgent piece of news.
Attack surface work is the obvious use. A security team mapping its own estate wants to know whether anything of theirs answers on a public address, and an external researcher studying cloud misconfiguration wants the whole set at once, to see what the exposed hosts have in common, which providers they sit on and which countries they resolve in. Checking domains one at a time cannot produce that picture, because the hosts worth finding are the ones nobody knew to check. A dated file of matching domains can be pulled again later and compared, which turns a static curiosity into a measurement of whether exposure is getting better or worse.
Frequently asked questions
How many websites use Kubernetes Dashboard?
webatla detects Kubernetes Dashboard on 1 website, refreshed daily, with its domain, DNS, WHOIS, IP, country and ranking.
Can I download the list of websites using Kubernetes Dashboard?
Yes, as structured JSONL. Grab a free sample first.
What's included for each site, and how fresh is it?
Domain, DNS, RDAP/WHOIS, the full technology stack, IP & country, PageRank and Harmonic, re-detected and re-exported daily.
How do I find the websites using Kubernetes Dashboard?
Buy the technology dataset, then download the complete list of domains we detect using Kubernetes Dashboard, re-exported every day.
What else is in the Kubernetes Dashboard technology data?
Each row places Kubernetes Dashboard next to the other technology on the same site, plus DNS, WHOIS, IP, country and ranking.
Can I download just the sites using Kubernetes Dashboard, or the whole database?
Both. Every site running Kubernetes Dashboard comes in the Technologies dataset, one downloadable file. Or buy All data for the entire database: technologies plus identity, ranking, DNS and RDAP/WHOIS for every domain, combined in one file. Daily fresh export.
How do I download the list of websites using Kubernetes Dashboard?
Three steps: (1) grab the free 10,000-row sample to inspect the schema, (2) buy the Technologies dataset, (3) download the full list of every domain we detect running Kubernetes Dashboard as a JSON Lines file. It is re-exported daily, so you can re-download the freshest list any time inside your access window. Each row carries the domain plus DNS, WHOIS, IP, hosting country and rank.
