InstantGeo is an IP-based geolocation service delivered as a lightweight JavaScript file, operated by InstantGeo, LLC and launched in 2022. When embedded on a web page, its script resolves the visitor's IP address to location data such as country, city, region, timezone, and coordinates, which developers read from a global object or the service's JSON API. Websites use it to serve location-aware content, and because it loads as an external script it can be detected as a technology on the pages that include it.
