About Coinimp
Coinimp is a web-based cryptocurrency mining script that website operators can embed to mine Monero (XMR) using visitors' CPU resources. It emerged as a CoinHive alternative following that platform's shutdown and positions itself as a consent-first cryptomining solution for website monetization.
Coinimp provides JavaScript embedding snippets and a dashboard for tracking mining performance and earnings. The platform supports opt-in mining, where visitors are informed and asked to consent before their CPU is used. Despite this, it remains flagged by many browser security extensions and antivirus tools due to the general stigma around in-browser cryptomining.
