About Apptus
A version string is sometimes the only thing a fingerprint gives up. For Apptus it is close to the entire record, with no vendor, no licence, no first-release year, no implementation language and no category assigned in our data.
What survives is a match and a build number. The only descriptive field with anything in it is the version, and the value recorded there is 2.2.4. Precision like that normally means the fingerprint locked onto a versioned asset path or a generator string rather than a loose code pattern, which makes the match narrow and unlikely to be accidental, but a narrow match still tells you nothing about who wrote the software or what it is for.
The name is not unique either. Similar and near-identical names belong to unrelated vendors in commerce search and in contract lifecycle management, so matching companies on the string alone will pull in firms that have nothing to do with the code we detected. Our record should be read as this fingerprint, on these domains, at this crawl, and not as a claim about a corporate identity.
As of October 2026 the number of sites where we detect Apptus is 1. An entry that thin still has a use, because the domain behind it is the fastest available route to identification. Pull the host from the export, read the rest of the stack we record for it, and the neighbouring technologies usually name the product faster than a search engine will, since software of this kind travels with a recognisable set of companions.
Entries like this stay in the index instead of being pruned for looking untidy. Removing the long tail would flatter every remaining count and quietly bias the whole distribution, and unidentified fingerprints are frequently the first trace of something that acquires a name later.
Frequently asked questions
How many websites use Apptus?
webatla detects Apptus on 1 website, refreshed daily, with its domain, DNS, WHOIS, IP, country and ranking.
Can I download the list of websites using Apptus?
Yes, as structured JSONL. Grab a free sample first.
What's included for each site, and how fresh is it?
Domain, DNS, RDAP/WHOIS, the full technology stack, IP & country, PageRank and Harmonic, re-detected and re-exported daily.
How do I find the websites using Apptus?
Buy the technology dataset, then download the complete list of domains we detect using Apptus, re-exported every day.
What else is in the Apptus technology data?
Each row places Apptus next to the other technology on the same site, plus DNS, WHOIS, IP, country and ranking.
Can I download just the sites using Apptus, or the whole database?
Both. Every site running Apptus comes in the Technologies dataset, one downloadable file. Or buy All data for the entire database: technologies plus identity, ranking, DNS and RDAP/WHOIS for every domain, combined in one file. Daily fresh export.
How do I download the list of websites using Apptus?
Three steps: (1) grab the free 10,000-row sample to inspect the schema, (2) buy the Technologies dataset, (3) download the full list of every domain we detect running Apptus as a JSON Lines file. It is re-exported daily, so you can re-download the freshest list any time inside your access window. Each row carries the domain plus DNS, WHOIS, IP, hosting country and rank.
