Sobre Strapdown.js

Escrever documentação em Markdown e servi-la sem qualquer passo de compilação foi, durante uma janela curta, uma ideia genuinamente apelativa. Gravava-se um ficheiro de texto, acrescentava-se uma etiqueta de script e o navegador tratava da conversão no carregamento. O Strapdown.js foi construído exatamente para essa janela, ao aparecer em 2012, antes que os geradores de sites estáticos e o alojamento com suporte para Markdown tornassem o truque desnecessário.

O funcionamento explica quem ainda o utiliza. O conteúdo fica embutido no HTML em Markdown simples, o JavaScript presente na página reescreve-o em saída formatada no momento do carregamento e nada é pré-compilado. Uma página dessas é barata de criar e praticamente gratuita de deixar em paz, e é por isso que tende a ser criada uma vez e depois esquecida. Em outubro de 2026 detetamos o Strapdown.js em 20 sites, e essa população pende fortemente para documentação de projeto, notas internas e referências de página única que ninguém teve motivo para tocar durante anos.

A deteção tem uma fraqueza óbvia que vale a pena nomear.
