Les générateurs de sites statiques ont supprimé la base de données, et la zone de commentaires a disparu avec elle. Une page compilée à l’avance n’a nulle part où ranger ce que tape un lecteur, si bien que la discussion doit revenir sous la forme d’un service distinct. Twikoo est l’une des réponses à ce problème. Distribué sous licence MIT, écrit en JavaScript et apparu pour la première fois dans nos données en 2020, il est conçu pour tourner sur des fonctions serverless et une base de données que le propriétaire du site contrôle, plutôt que sur la plateforme de quelqu’un d’autre.
