JavaServer Faces (JSF) è un framework Java per applicazioni web che semplifica lo sviluppo delle interfacce utente per applicazioni server-side Java EE (oggi Jakarta EE). Fornisce un modello basato su componenti per la creazione di interfacce web, la gestione dell’invio di form, la validazione, la navigazione e l’elaborazione degli eventi lato server in modo strutturato.

Originariamente sviluppato nell’ambito del Java Community Process e lanciato per la prima volta nel 2004 come parte di Java EE 5, JSF è diventato una componente standard della piattaforma enterprise Java. Oggi è mantenuto dall’Eclipse Foundation come Jakarta Faces. JSF è comunemente utilizzato nelle applicazioni Java aziendali, in particolare nei settori finanziario, assicurativo e della pubblica amministrazione, dove l’infrastruttura Java EE è diffusa.
