CoinHive Captcha était une alternative au CAPTCHA proposée par CoinHive, qui remplaçait les défis CAPTCHA classiques à base d’images ou de texte par une brève tâche de minage de cryptomonnaie en preuve de travail. Plutôt que d’identifier des feux de circulation ou de saisir du texte déformé, les utilisateurs laissaient leur navigateur résoudre une énigme de calcul de minage pendant quelques secondes pour prouver qu’ils étaient humains.
