RDAP & WHOIS

Access verified registration data for every active domain — RDAP first, WHOIS where needed.

The RDAP & WHOIS dataset provides complete and structured registration information for millions of domains worldwide. webatla automatically checks each domain via the rdap database whenever the TLD supports it — and falls back to the whois database for legacy zones that haven’t yet adopted RDAP. This ensures full coverage and maximum accuracy across all TLDs, currently covering 331,984,354 domains with RDAP or WHOIS records.

Each record includes creation, expiration, and last changed dates, registrar name, response status, and raw RDAP/WHOIS data, enabling precise monitoring of domain lifecycle and ownership details. Columns include: Domain, RDAP/WHOIS last date checked, method, creation date, expiration date, last changed, registrar, response status, and RDAP/WHOIS records.

Ideal for registries, compliance teams, cybersecurity analysts, and researchers who require verified, structured, and regularly updated domain registration data. webatla delivers unified RDAP & WHOIS insights — modern, consistent, and ready for large-scale analysis.

Domains grouped by TLD suffix (Public Suffix List based)

The webatla domain database groups domains by TLD suffix using the official Public Suffix List. Across our dataset, we have identified 7,459 valid TLD suffixes, classified according to real-world registration rules (e.g. .com, .co.uk, .com.au, .com.ua).
  • Accurate TLD suffix detection: Each domain is split into subdomain, registrable domain, and effective TLD suffix based on Public Suffix List logic. Multi-level suffixes like .co.uk or .com.au are detected correctly instead of being collapsed to .uk or .au.
  • Consistent grouping and aggregation: Domains are grouped by their exact suffix among the 7,459 recognised PSL entries, enabling precise analytics for all suffix families such as *.co.uk, *.edu.au, *.org.ua, *.gob.es, and more.
  • Support for complex and country-specific rules: Public Suffix List covers government, education, geographic and multi-level namespaces, which the webatla parser fully respects. This ensures accurate classification in countries with layered structures.
  • Better segmentation for research and marketing: With 7,459 suffixes identified, segmentation becomes more accurate for SEO, cybersecurity, adtech, brand protection, risk scoring and regional analysis.
  • Reliable foundation for downstream processing: Because suffix parsing follows a maintained global standard, all enrichment, modelling, risk analysis, and analytics layers built on top become more stable and consistent.
By aligning with the Public Suffix List and detecting 7,459 TLD suffixes, the webatla domain database provides a precise and standards-aligned view of the global domain space, from simple generics to highly complex multi-level country-code structures.

The webatla domain database provides structured and up-to-date WHOIS and RDAP data for 358,834,364 domains. Every record is normalized, enriched, and mapped across multiple fields for clean analytics, automation, and large-scale research.
  • Accurate last-checked timestamps: Each domain includes the most recent WHOIS or RDAP check date, ensuring visibility into data freshness and update cycles.
  • WHOIS vs RDAP method detection: The dataset specifies which protocol was used (whois or rdap), allowing you to analyze protocol adoption and registry coverage.
  • Domain lifecycle data: Every domain includes key lifecycle dates: creation date, expiration date, and last-changed date — critical for renewal analysis, drop-catching, zone health monitoring, and domain age statistics.
  • Registrar insights: Each entry includes the registrar (short label), enabling registrar-level market share analytics and portfolio comparison.
  • Response status overview: Quickly identify whether a domain is active, inactive, expired, or unreachable based on protocol-level responses.
  • WHOIS & RDAP raw record (parsed & shortened): A normalized short version of the protocol response is included (e.g. contact data, registrar, status flags, name servers). A full raw JSON can be retrieved for deep technical inspection.
  • Consistent structured format: All fields follow a unified schema, making the dataset ideal for dashboards, ML pipelines, enrichment, fraud detection, and domain intelligence products.
With WHOIS and RDAP data available for 358,834,364 domains, the webatla domain database provides one of the most complete and reliable sources of global domain lifecycle and ownership information.
