Acerca de Sapper
Los responsables de Sapper son las mismas personas que pidieron a todo el mundo que dejara de usarlo. Creado por el equipo de Svelte como el marco que dio a los proyectos Svelte renderizado en servidor, enrutado basado en ficheros y división de código, Sapper quedó sustituido por SvelteKit, que pasó a ser la forma oficial de construir ese tipo de aplicaciones. Ya no se empieza nada nuevo sobre él.
Un marco que no recibe instalaciones nuevas tiene una propiedad de la que carecen los activos. Todos los sitios que lo usan se construyeron antes de que existiera el sucesor, y todos los que siguen usándolo han decidido, de forma activa o por dejadez, no migrar. La población solo puede encoger, de modo que comparar la misma lista en dos fechas mide directamente una tasa de migración, una cifra que ningún dominio aislado puede ofrecer.
La detección de un marco que actúa en tiempo de compilación es inferencial por naturaleza, y fingir lo contrario sería deshonesto. Sapper deja rastros en los paquetes de JavaScript generados, en los manifiestos de rutas y en la forma de su entorno de ejecución en el cliente, pero un proyecto exportado a ficheros estáticos, o uno cuya compilación se personalizó mucho, puede pasar sin que se le reconozca. En octubre de 2026 lo detectamos en 206 sitios, un recuento de páginas que todavía llevan la huella y no un censo de repositorios.
De ahí se derivan tres lecturas de la lista. A los equipos de auditoría les interesa porque un proyecto con licencia MIT que ya no recibe versiones tampoco recibe correcciones de seguridad, y encontrar dependencias sin parchear es un trabajo que necesita el conjunto completo y no un ejemplo. A las agencias les interesa por motivos comerciales, ya que una base de código con un problema de envejecimiento conocido y un destino conocido es el argumento de migración más limpio posible, y los propios responsables del marco ya lo han formulado por ellas. A los investigadores les interesa la tasa en sí, la velocidad real a la que se mueve una comunidad cuando sus responsables declaran un sucesor, y esa es una pregunta sobre una población entera que no se puede responder dominio a dominio. Publicado en 2017, Sapper funciona hoy sobre todo como una marca de cuándo se escribió una base de código y cuánto tiempo lleva sin que nadie la toque.
