Invenio ist ein Open-Source-Software-Framework für den Aufbau großangelegter digitaler Repositorien und digitaler Bibliotheken. Es wurde ursprünglich 2002 an der Europäischen Organisation für Kernforschung (CERN) unter dem Namen CDSware entwickelt, um den CERN Document Server zu betreiben, und wird heute von CERN gemeinsam mit einer Gemeinschaft von Forschungseinrichtungen gepflegt.
