Про Akismet

Кожне встановлення WordPress отримує Akismet у комплекті, тож цікаве питання не в тому, чи плагін є, а в тому, чи його хтось увімкнув. Для активації потрібні обліковий запис і ключ, а комерційні сайти мають за нього платити, тож увімкнений фільтр спаму є невеликим, але справжнім свідченням того, що хтось витрачає гроші, аби сайтом можна було користуватися.

Наше виявлення читає сліди, які активне встановлення лишає у виданих сторінках, а не файли на сервері, бо файлів ми не бачимо. Різниця працює в обидва боки. Сплячу копію в теці плагінів ми не бачимо, і це правильно, бо спляча копія нічого не означає. Натомість сайт, який чистить свій вивід і приховує відбитки плагінів, ми теж не бачимо, і ось це вже справжня втрата. Підрахунок варто читати як нижню межу, зміщену в бік сайтів, які лишають свій стек читабельним.

Станом на жовтень 2026 р. кількість сайтів, де ми бачимо Akismet, становить 35 693. За географією попереду Сполучені Штати, і кількість тамтешніх сайтів дорівнює 18 409, а серед доменів переважає суфікс .com. Фільтр спаму спершу говорить про тип сайту й лише потім про географію. Сайт із таким фільтром приймає введення від незнайомців через коментарі чи форми, а отже, публікує щось, що збирає аудиторію, і має власника, який помітив породжений безлад і взявся до нього. Сайти-візитівки без жодного поля для введення в цій сукупності трапляються рідко.

Придатним до дії список робить поле версії. Кількість різних рядків версій, зафіксованих на цих встановленнях, дорівнює 43, а найчастіше повідомляється випуск 3.1.5, і це звичайна картина для плагіна, який в одних власників оновлюється автоматично, а в інших зафіксований на місці. Сайт, що відстає на кілька випусків, зазвичай є сайтом, де автоматичні оновлення вимкнули свідомо, а це вказує на кероване середовище, обережну агенцію або власника, який перестав стежити. Кожен із трьох варіантів є приводом для контакту, і з ким саме ви маєте справу, часто зʼясовує решта стека на домені.

Решта запису проста. Akismet веде Automattic від 2005 року за моделлю Proprietary, продукт написаний на PHP під платформу, з якою він виріс, і пропонується поза нею через API, тож частина сайтів у цьому наборі взагалі не є контентними, а є формами та застосунками, які звертаються до тієї самої служби. Рядки версій бувають застарілими або прихованими, а оплачену підписку ззовні підтвердити неможливо, тож наявність фільтра варто читати як свідчення того, що сайтом опікуються, а не як доказ платіжних відносин.

Перевірка одного домену повідомляє, що один сайт фільтрує коментарі. Список для завантаження дає кожне виявлене встановлення разом із його версією, а поруч теми, хостинги, інструменти електронної комерції та інші плагіни на тих самих доменах, і саме це потрібно, щоб відділити доглянуті сайти від занедбаних у масштабі, де різниця коштує грошей.
