Acerca de Directus

Las arquitecturas headless se lo ponen difícil a la detección, y conviene decirlo antes de citar ninguna cifra. Directus funciona detrás del sitio y expone una base de datos a través de una API que consume una interfaz separada. Nada de una página ya renderizada tiene por qué revelar qué backend la produjo, y un sitio desacoplado construido con cuidado no suele revelar nada en absoluto.

Lo que sí vemos son los casos en los que asoma la costura. Una interfaz de administración que quedó accesible, direcciones de recursos y de archivos servidas directamente desde el backend, llamadas a la API hechas desde el navegador y no en el momento de compilar, y rutas por defecto que nadie movió de sitio. En octubre de 2026 eso deja la plataforma visible en 248 dominios, una cifra que hay que leer como la parte observable de una base instalada mayor y no como un recuento de despliegues.

Las detecciones que sí afloran resultan informativas por lo que implica la elección. Directus es software con licencia GPL v3 escrito en JavaScript y disponible desde 2014, que envuelve una base de datos SQL existente en lugar de imponer su propio esquema. Un equipo que lo elige tiene a alguien que programa en plantilla, es dueño de su modelo de datos y ha rechazado a propósito tanto el creador de webs alojado como el sistema de contenidos monolítico. Directus vende una nube gestionada junto a la edición autoalojada, así que la población mezcla instalaciones autogestionadas con suscriptores, y nada en el marcado de la página los separa.

Las empresas de selección de personal y los proveedores de herramientas la leen como prueba de un equipo de ingeniería centrado en la API. Las plataformas de contenidos rivales la leen como un conjunto de cuentas que ya tomaron la decisión headless, que es la parte cara de la venta, y que resultan más fáciles de mover que una empresa que todavía funciona con un monolito.

El valor está en ese cruce, y la advertencia de más arriba viaja con él, porque un conjunto parcial que reconoce serlo resulta más útil que una cifra segura de sí misma que nadie puede defender.
