RDAPデータ
RDAPはWHOISに代わる現代的で構造化されたプロトコルです。型付けされたイベント、ステータス、レジストラ情報を含むクリーンなJSONを返し、現在ほとんどのレジストリがこの方式でデータを提供しています。ドメインがこのプロトコルで応答する場合、データベースはその構造化された登録データを保持します。
従来型WHOISデータ
従来型WHOISは、より古いフリーテキスト形式のプロトコルです。多くのccTLDは今もWHOISのみで応答するため、データベースはその生のWHOISレコードも取得します。whoisMethodフィールドを見れば、各ドメインのデータをどちらのプロトコルが提供したか分かります。
