.rw Hakkında

Ruanda'nın .rw ülke kodu üst düzey alan adı (ccTLD), Afrika'nın en hızlı büyüyen dijital ekonomilerinden birine sahip bu ülkenin ulusal internet kimliğidir. Ruanda Kamu Hizmetleri Düzenleme Kurumu (RURA), .rw ad alanının yönetiminden sorumludur, günlük operasyonlar ise Ruanda Bilgi Toplumu Kurumu (RISA) tarafından yürütülür. Alan adı, Ruanda vatandaşlarına, sakinlerine ve işletmelerine, ayrıca ülke içinde faaliyet gösteren yabancı şirketlere açıktır.

1996 yılındaki tahsisinden bu yana .rw, Ruanda'nın dikkat çekici ekonomik gelişimi ve dijital altyapı yatırımlarıyla birlikte istikrarlı biçimde büyümüştür. Ruanda hükümeti, geniş bant bağlantısını genişletme ve e-devlet hizmetlerini yaygınlaştırma konusunda önemli adımlar atmıştır, bu hizmetlerin çoğu .rw uzantısı altında çalışmaktadır. Ruanda, Doğu ve Orta Afrika için bir teknoloji merkezi olmayı hedeflerken bu uzantı ülkenin dijital kimliğinin önemli bir parçası haline gelmiştir.
