.press, gazetecileri, haber kuruluşlarını, basın ajanslarını, medya şirketlerini ve halkla ilişkiler uzmanlarını hedefleyen yeni bir genel üst düzey alan adı (gTLD) uzantısıdır. 2012 ICANN yeni gTLD programı aracılığıyla piyasaya sürülen .press, basın ve medya sektörlerinde çalışan veya bu sektörleri takip eden herkes için doğal ve güvenilir bir alan adı uzantısı sunar. Bu uzantı ziyaretçilere anında haber ve gazetecilik izlenimi verir, bu da onu medya markaları için çekici bir seçenek haline getirir.
