.directory, düzenli listeler, dizinler veya kategorize edilmiş bilgi veritabanları tutan işletmelere ve hizmetlere hizmet etmek üzere sunulan yeni bir genel üst düzey alan adı uzantısıdır. Çevrimiçi dizinler, iş listeleri, meslek sicilleri ve benzeri kategorizasyon hizmetleri işleten şirketleri hedefler. Uzantı, temel işlevi kullanıcıların yapılandırılmış bilgide gezinmesine yardımcı olmak olan her kuruluş veya platform için net ve sezgisel bir isim alanı sağlar.
