Mermaid does the opposite. The library takes a block of text describing a flowchart, a sequence diagram, a Gantt chart or an entity relationship model and draws it in the browser at load time, so the diagram is code and the code is in the page. Released in 2014 under the MIT licence and written in JavaScript, the project spread through developer tooling rather than through web design. Documentation generators, static site frameworks, wikis and knowledge bases adopted it because a diagram written as text can live in a repository, be reviewed alongside a code change and stay current with the software it describes. Anyone rendering it in public is almost always publishing technical documentation. Precision of that kind is unusual in front end detection.
