Brochure pages do not need crash reporting. BugSnag is a Issue trackers service that collects unhandled exceptions with stack traces and device context, and its presence on a page means somebody treats that page as an application whose failures are worth paying to see. The service dates from 2012 and now belongs to SmartBear Software, sold as a Proprietary product priced against event volume. Written into the page as a JavaScript snippet, the browser SDK is only one of several, because the same platform accepts reports from mobile apps, backend services and embedded devices. Our crawler sees the browser one and nothing else. The asymmetry defines what this list is. As of October 2026 we detect the browser SDK on 15,042 sites, and the number of organisations using the product is larger than the number of sites we can find, since a company can monitor an entire backend without ever putting a script on a public page. Anyone sizing a customer base from this export should read it as the web facing slice of the install base rather than the whole of it. Within that slice the qualification is strong. A domain carrying the snippet has a production application, an engineering team that ships often enough to care about regressions, and a tooling budget that survived a procurement conversation. Sales teams at developer tooling companies apply exactly this filter, and so do recruiters, because crash reporting tends to sit beside a recognisable stack of build tools and frameworks that the same export records for the same domain. The comparison a single lookup cannot make is the interesting one. Checking whether one company uses the service is a support question. Downloading the population lets you ask which frameworks it clusters with, which industries adopted it, and which domains dropped it between exports.
